The following instructor biographies are for our senior instructors.
In addition to the senior instructors listed here, our academy has many additional certified black belt instructors
and senior students that are available to meet the student's needs. Our children's classes are always staffed by 2 or 3 certified black belt instructors.
Grand Master Alan D'Allessandro: Chief Instructor 10th degree black belt for the
adult and children's karate program. He is a published author on the subject of self-defense.
He is also recognized as an authority on the ancient art of the Samurai Sword and has been invited
to many martial arts studios throughout New England to conduct seminars on the art.
He is currently on the American Kenpo International Board of Grandmasters and Masters.
He is manager of the academy's Team NEKA a top ranked New England sport karate team.
Hanshi D'Allessandro began studying the martial arts in 1984. He
studied directly under 10th degree Grandmaster Nick Cerio. He is currently studying under 10th degree black belt Grandmaster Don Rodrigues who is manager
of the nationally sponsored Paul Mitchell karate team, considered one of the best national karate
teams currently competing.
Kyoshi Mark Byrne: Shihan Byrne began studying
the martial arts along with his son and daughter in the mid 1990's. He is currently a 7th degree black belt.
He is a very knowledgeable instructor and teaches both children and adult classes.
He was involved with his son in cub scouts and boy scouts for many years and brings that experience to his children's classes.
He also is well versed in the art of the Samurai Sword.
Shihan Rachid Perdomo: Sensei Perdomo began studying the martial arts in Venezuela in 1985 when he was 8 years old.
He is a 5th degree black belt and has been with the academy since 1997. He's the sparring coach of our sport karate team and has
been a top ranked competitor himself. He has a strong and excellent dedication to teaching and mentoring young students and is currently employed in a
managerial position
with the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services. He also holds a Masters Degree in Political Science from Suffolk University.
Sensei April D'Allessandro: Sensei D'Allessandro is an extremely accomplished martial artist.
She is a 4th degree black belt and has many state and national karate championship titles.
In 2003 she won the WAKO gold medal for women's fighting in Paris, France at the WAKO international competition. She is
also a Certified Personal Trainer and Master Instructor of AERO CORE Aerobic
Kickboxing & Core Training.
Sensei James Margosian: Sensei Margosian is co-owner and co-founder of the academy.
He has been teaching the martial arts to children for more than 20 years.
He believes that every child should be taught to their own ability level and pace of learning and never compared to another childs performance.
He holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Clark University.
Sensei Alfred Errede: Sensei Errede is not only an excellent 3rd degree black belt instructor in the
children's classes but, he also has been a school teacher for over twenty years. This experience gives him an excellent background
for working with and motivating
his students. He is a
firm believer that the proper training, motivation, and desire to excel in the martial
arts can carry over to all aspects of a student's life. He constantly works towards those goals with
all his students. He began studying the martial arts in 1995 with his daughters Alissa
and Michaela.
